There is something I have always loved about facilitating conversations. It is the opportunity to step into someone else's world with genuine curiosity and create a space where their ideas, insights and lived experience can be fully seen and heard.
For the past three years, I have hosted Creating the Muse, a podcast of long-form conversations with women working thoughtfully across creative and cultural fields. That work has grown into live moderation.
Whether on stage or behind a microphone, my role is the same: to hold space with presence, ask the questions that matter, and shape dialogue that feels both thoughtful and human.

MY PROCESS
How a considered conversation comes together.
A good conversation on stage is shaped long before anyone takes their seat. Here is how I work, from first call to final question.

Discovery Call
We begin with a one-on-one call with the person I am interviewing. I ask a considered set of questions designed to reach the essence of their work — the story behind the book, the thinking behind the exhibition, the why behind the research. This is where the shape of the conversation begins to emerge.

Deep Research
I read the book, walk through the exhibition, study the work. I sit with it until I understand not only what is being said, but what wants to be heard. This is the part of the work no one sees — and it is the part that makes everything else possible.

Collaborative Briefing
I return to my speaker with a fact sheet and a proposed arc of questions. Together we refine it — they flag anything they would prefer not to discuss, add what matters most to them, and confirm the tone. By the day of the event, no one is walking in cold.

The Conversation Itself
On the day, I hold the arc we have built together — while staying open to what emerges in the room. Preparation is what makes presence possible. The result is a conversation that feels natural, generous, and unhurried, with every voice fully heard.
